There is something very primitively intimate in the oral records - listening to someone’s story.
“Postcard Pavilion” aims to revitalise England’s most eastern coastal town with a pavilion that is a place where personal memories of this town are being actively and continuously recorded and exchanged.
“Postcard Pavilion” aims to revitalise England’s most eastern coastal town with a pavilion that is a place where personal memories of this town are being actively and continuously recorded and exchanged.
Using the strange of insertion- making a bespoke structure fit to space- I derived the form from the existing structure and deployed & developed it as a modular system. As if composing the piece of music, the units were situated. The blank space is filled with a living sound and memories of the town.
